Exploring coastal waterways for endless inspiration



Marian is a plein air and studio painter inspired by naturalistic landscape views, seascapes and historic architecture. A resident of Cotuit, she has explored Cape Cod for endless inspiration. Marian comes from three generations of artists, her daughter Lyn Coffey continues in the plein air tradition California. 

Participation in charitable events include the Cahoon Museum of American Art and the Santuit and Cotuit Historical Society. Additionally she has donated art to the Barnstable Land Trust - showcasing the beauty of the Cape for land preservation, many BLT locations have been painted in plein air. 

As former educator with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education, Marian continues to further her art career studying with noted art instructors throughout New England. She maintains a studio in Cotuit and welcomes commissions.
